From scanning the QR code to switching on data roaming: a visual walkthrough for every recent iPhone.
Before you start
Connect to Wi-Fi and have your QR code ready on another screen, or open your order on the same iPhone to use one-tap install.
Install the eSIM
Open Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code, then scan the code. Label the new plan “Travel” when asked.
Keep your primary line as the default for calls and messages, and choose “Travel” for cellular data.
When you arrive
Open Settings → Cellular → Travel and turn on Data Roaming. Turn roaming off for your primary line.
