What we sell
- Product
- Prepaid travel eSIMs: a mobile data plan delivered as a QR code, with no physical SIM card.
- Destinations
- 200+ destinations, plus regional and worldwide plans.
- Starting price
- From $1.99 USD for a short country plan.
- Data only
- Plans include mobile data. They do not include a phone number for calls or SMS; your usual SIM keeps that.
- Hotspot
- Personal hotspot and tethering are supported.
Buying and delivery
- Payment
- Card payment through Stripe. Card details never reach our servers.
- Account
- No account is needed to buy. An account keeps your eSIMs and receipts together.
- Delivery time
- The eSIM arrives by email within seconds of payment, and appears in your account.
- Validity start
- Some plans start counting when the eSIM is installed, others when it first connects to a network in a covered country, and each plan page says which. To avoid losing any days, install it on the day you travel, before you leave.
Using the eSIM
- Phones
- Any eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked phone: iPhone XS and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, and many others.
- Installing
- Scan the QR code on Wi-Fi before you fly. On arrival, switch on data roaming for the travel eSIM.
- Top-ups
- Sold on the eSIM itself, from My eSIMs, where its network allows them: same eSIM, nothing to install, never priced above the same plan bought new. Each plan page says whether it can be topped up.
- Multiple eSIMs
- A phone can hold several eSIM profiles and switch between them.
Refer a friend
- The offer
- The friend gets 10% off their first eSIM. The referrer gets 10% of what the friend spends, as store credit.
- Minimum order
- None. The discount applies to any plan, at any price.
- Limit
- No limit on how many friends can be invited. Each side is capped at $10 per friend.
- Getting your link
- Sign in and open Refer a friend in your account. There is no code to type; the link carries it.
- When credit arrives
- It appears as soon as the friend's eSIM is delivered, and becomes spendable once their 30-day refund window closes.
- Using credit
- Credit pays for up to half of an order and works alongside a discount code. It is store credit and is never paid out as cash.
Refunds and support
- Refunds
- Full refund within 30 days of delivery if the eSIM has not been installed. A plan that cannot connect for a reason on our side or our network partner's, and that support cannot fix, is refunded in full. The eSIM is delivered immediately at your request, which ends the 14-day EU/UK right to cancel; the refund for an eSIM never installed still applies.
- Support
- A help assistant on every page answers common questions straight away; anything it can't answer becomes a support ticket with a reference number, answered by email, usually within a day. Help centre and install guides in every language.
- Languages
- The website, help centre and emails are in 28 languages.
- Company
- Tonavira is an independent reseller of wholesale eSIM plans. We are not a mobile network operator.
