Mauritius eSIM questions
What is the best eSIM for Mauritius?
Pick a plan that covers your whole stay with some data to spare. We offer 26 Mauritius plans starting from $5.99, delivered instantly by email and in your account.
Which networks does the Mauritius eSIM use?
It connects to Emtel [5G], my.t [4G], and your phone switches to the strongest available network automatically.
Can I install my Mauritius eSIM before I travel?
Yes, on the day you travel: install it on Wi-Fi before you leave. Some plans start counting when the eSIM is installed and others when it first connects in Mauritius, so installing on the day keeps all your days.
Do I get a phone number with the Mauritius eSIM?
No, it's data only. Call and message over WhatsApp, FaceTime or Telegram, and keep your regular SIM switched on to receive texts such as bank codes.
How much data do I need for a trip to Mauritius?
Most travellers use 0.5–1 GB per day for maps, messaging and social media. Streaming video uses much more. Our data calculator gives a personal estimate.
